I work out in a gym and watch the rain playing darts in the slow river. Ancient castle on the high hill is barely visible through a haze. I wipe sweat from my forehead and try to look for something lasting longer than the pile of stones arranged together by long forgotten ancestors. My look returns to the rain. I feel fatigue in my legs. The very last leaf hovers down into the river.

last leaf
in a free motion
beyond me

This is nice.... but let that last leaf leave a lasting memory... for off in that distant haze lies the truth between life and love.

Remembering your touch
What use to be"

Very good, Ricardas. Here we have a saying...

let's make
like a tree
and leave

Now I'm making haiku out of cheesy sayings...see what I'm reduced to? ha ha

Tara, I'll follow your advice and let that leaf flow till the time lasts.
Sandy, I wouldn't call it reduction, it looks more like getting more efficient - maybe formula 3-5-3 could be good for a start
