I see so many different trees through my window. They remind me of an old Lithuanian folk tale. At the end of it, queen of grass snakes turned her children into trees - sons have become oak, ash and birch, daughter, who betrayed her father, have become asp, and queen herself - fir. The family still looks nice though, especially in autumn.

ironic finale:
oak leaf at the feet
of the bare asp
ąžuolo lapas
po plinkančia drebule -
kokia pabaiga!

Už lango matau tiek daug visokiausių medžių. Prisimenu pasaką "Eglė, žalčių karalienė" ir medžiais virtusius vaikus. Visa šeima vis dar atrodo gražiai, ypatingai rudenį.

Malonu buvo paskaityti tikrai gerus haiku. Šilti ir išminties pilni.
