P.S. I just learned that L. Zamenhof, the inventor of Esperanto, had family roots in Lithuania and some aspects of Esperanto can be traced to this connection.

Masago, you are right regarding Zamenhof's roots although currently his birth place is in Poland. I wish Esperanto has more in common with Lithuanian than just some grammatical aspects and pronunciation. So, Lithuanians have no advantages in learning it.

Richard, thanks for visiting and I like your blog too. You are right regarding my name. In fact it is Ričardas where č is pronounced as ch in your name.
Ha! Still can't work out how you get that 'č ' out of your keyboard (I'm using Mac OS X 10.5). I copied and pasted this time. Take care. :-)
Well, I think you need Lithuanian language scripts in your computer but I'm not sure how it works in case of Mac.
